This program is for entrepreneurs who

have the skills, education and work experience to contribute to the economy of a specific province or territory

want to live in that province, and

want to become permanent residents of Canada

Each province and territory have its own Entrepreneur/ Business streams and specific requirements

Alberta

The AINP has 3 streams for entrepreneurs who plan to live in Alberta and buy or start a business in the province

British Columbia

The Entrepreneur Immigration stream of the BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) is a path to immigrate to Canada and settle in B.C. for experienced entrepreneurs who can support innovation and economic growth in the province

Manitoba

The Business Investor Stream (BIS) allows Manitoba to recruit and nominate qualified business investors and entrepreneurs from around the world who have the intent and ability to start or purchase businesses in Manitoba.

New Brunswick

The New Brunswick Business Immigration stream is an economic immigration pathway for experienced entrepreneurs who are ready to establish, operate and actively manage a business while living and settling in New Brunswick permanently.

Newfoundland and Labrador

The International Entrepreneur category is intended for experienced business owners or senior business managers who wish to permanently reside in Newfoundland and Labrador. They must start a new business or buy an existing business and must actively participate in the day-to-day management of the business.

Nova Scotia

The Entrepreneur Stream is for experienced business owners or senior business managers who want to live in Nova Scotia. They must start a new business or buy an existing business and must actively participate in the day-to-day management of the business.

Northwest Territories

The Business Stream is for people who want to start a business in the NWT, purchase an existing business based here, or invest in and operate an existing business based here.

Ontario

The Entrepreneur Stream is an immigration stream under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). This stream is for entrepreneurs from outside Canada interested in starting a new business or buying an existing business in Ontario. It gives an entrepreneur (and up to one foreign national business partner) the opportunity to be nominated for permanent residence once their business has been established in Ontario.
